Orillia wraps up summer with Pirate Party Festival

Share

Thousands are in Orillia for this weekend's Pirate Party Festival, the Port's final signature summer event.

The annual tradition started in 2018 and has grown into a weekend-long festival featuring pirate demonstrations, ' Walk the Plank' challenges, and plenty of family activities in the streets of the City's Downtown.

"Kids love this event," said Allan Lafontaine, the Port of Orillia's harbourmaster, while dressed in a pirate costume. "The enthusiasm from everybody shows that everybody's having fun."

The festival runs through Sunday and raised $4,000 for Orillia's Rotary Aqua Theatre.
