Leah was just 13-years-old when she was murdered in her home on Beachview Avenue in Cumberland Beach on Sept. 1, 1990.

Leah was sexually assaulted and taken out into the backyard where she was violently attacked and murdered.

Her mother Lora was attacked and was found unconscious on the living room floor. She survived, but is unable to remember the attack because of her injuries.

"I feel utterly helpless and I cannot stand it,"  Sousa said. "I can't rest unitl I see them arrested and convicted."

Lora's nine month old son was found unharmed in his crib.

Sgt. Peter Leon said a metallic weapon police believed was used to commit the murder has never been found.
