Ontario Northland bus fire closes part of Highway 400
A section of Highway 400 was closed Sunday after an Ontario Northland bus caught on fire.
Shortly before 5 p.m., the bus that was travelling from Sudbury to Yorkdale caught fire.
Emergency services arrived at Highway 400, just south of Highway 12 in Severn Township to quell the flames in the back of the bus.
"There were no injuries to staff or any of the 28 passengers on board," said Kate Bondett, Senior Communications Manager at Ontario Northland.

Police closed the highway's southbound lanes until just after 6:30 p.m., when two left lanes were reopened.

"The cause of the fire is unknown at this time," said Bondett. "An investigation is being conducted."
