One taken to hospital in alleged assault, suspect at large
Police are searching for a suspect after an alleged assault with a weapon incident that occurred Wednesday evening in Huntsville.
According to Huntsville OPP, officers responded to reports of an assault involving a knife and a possible firearm at around 10 p.m. on King William Street. The victim of the incident was transported to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a 34-year-old Caucasian man, measuring six feet tall and 140 pounds with short brown hair and brown eyes. Police add that he is known to frequent the Huntsville area.
The incident is believed to be isolated. However, police are reminding the public to be vigilant and are seeking the help of anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts.
