Hanover, Ont. police have determined that there are no grounds to lay any charges in the February death of a Bowmanville man during a swift water training course.

In a statement, police said they have no "reasonable grounds to charge any person involved… for any criminal offence" in the death of 30-year-old Adam Brunt.

A police investigation into the death revealed that he died after being trapped underneath ice during a swift water training course in Hanover. The course was hosted and instructed by a private training firm in the Saugeen River, on Feb. 8.
