Senior Anchor, CTV News Barrie
Tony Grace brings 20 years of award-winning broadcast experience to his role as the Senior News Anchor at CTV Barrie, where he’s hosted CTV News at 6 each weeknight since 2010.
Tony has been with CTV News for 17 years, starting as an Ottawa Valley reporter, then a news anchor, morning show co-host, and national network correspondent.
His storytelling has taken him into the Prime Minister’s Office, to the 9/11 memorial in New York, and to a visit by the Queen.
He’s been at the helm of 15 live federal and provincial election broadcasts, and reported live from some of Canada’s biggest stories and tragedies, including Montreal’s Dawson College shooting and Toronto’s G20 summit. But, it’s Tony’s work at the local level that drives him the most. A Petawawa native, he’s always appreciated the impact local news has on the community, and is honoured to live in an area where people have a fierce pride for their local newscast.
Tony also coaches the journalists of tomorrow, chairing the Journalism Advisory Committee at his alma mater, Loyalist College in Belleville, since 2008. An avid fitness enthusiast, Tony supports, participates in, and emcees numerous local charity runs each year, and several other fundraisers in our community.
