Modified shotgun, axe and drugs seized from vehicle in Midland parking lot: OPP
Two people face charges after a driving complaint in Midland led officers to allegedly find drugs, an axe, baton and a modified shotgun.
Provincial police say the concerned call came in on Tuesday evening about a vehicle being driven erratically and crossing the centre lane.
Officers said they found the vehicle parked next to another vehicle in a shopping centre parking lot on Highway 12 and noticed the two drivers interacting.
Police say the driver of the reported vehicle was wanted on a warrant and during the arrest, the officers noticed signs of impairment and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Then police say the officer smelled fresh cannabis coming from the second vehicle and noticed open cannabis packaging in clear view.
That driver was also found to be wanted on a warrant and placed under arrest.
Both drivers, in their 20s, face charges.
“When charged with impaired driving, the driver's licence of the accused is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle they were operating is impounded seven days,” the OPP concluded.
Police say the weapons were discovered during a search of the vehicle.
