A sink hole opened up at the corner of Codrington and Berczy streets in Barrie late this afternoon.
The hole is about four feet around and quite deep at one end.
David McCrady was the first one to spot it.
City works crews are now on scene and the hole has been marked off with orange pylons.
There is still no word on what caused the hole or how long it will take to fix.
