OPP say the woman injured in a crash on Highway 400 on Wednesday morning has died from her injuries in hospital.

The crash on Wednesday involved six vehicles. OPP say a truck took out the guardrail underneath the 4th Line bridge in Innisfil, and the crash also involved a lager truck and other vehicles.

According to police, a tractor trailer carrying lumber was travelling south when it lost control as traffic ahead of it was slowing for a crash further down the highway. The tractor trailer then rear-ended a cube truck, forcing it through the guard rail into oncoming traffic where it struck a Honda Civic and a minivan. Two other vehicles were involved in the crash.

OPP announced Friday morning that the driver of the minivan, a 51-year-old woman from Barrie, died from her injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash and anyone with information is asked to call police.
