Midland police say they are investigating after a child was struck by a vehicle on Monday.

According to Insp. Ron Wheeldon, the collision happened at the intersection of King Street and Robert Street, at around 3:30 p.m.

Wheeldon says the six-year-old child was taken to Georgian Bay General Hospital with a leg injury.

Investigators are now looking into how the child was struck. It’s not yet known if charges will be laid.
