Midland man facing numerous charges after incident near high school
Provincial police charged a 44-year-old man from Midland following an incident on Wednesday that resulted in a hold and secure measure at a nearby high school and a road closure.

Southern Georgian Bay OPP said officers responded to a home on Frazer Drive between Rose Crescent and Park Avenue near St. Theresa’s Catholic High School around 9 a.m.
A short time later, the accused was arrested at the scene without incident and the security measure at the school was lifted.
The Midland man is charged with possessing a weapons for a dangerous purpose, five counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death and mischief, among others.
He has been in police custody since his arrest waiting for a bail hearing.
During a hold and secure, school activities continue as usual indoors, but no one is permitted to enter or exit the building.
