It is important to note, COVID-19 assessment centres are not walk-in clinics. 
There are several assessment centres open across the region.
Here is a list of where to find one in your area:

The centre is located at the back of the complex at 490 Huronia Road and not directly at the urgent care clinic.
The Huronia Road location will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you DO NOT have symptoms but want to be tested go to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre – “Clinic C” Drive-Thru only at 201 Georgian Drive – Atrium entrance (look for the three flagpoles)
It operates from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Appointments can be made by calling 705-728-9090 x49910. This phone line is only answered during clinic hours. If you do have an appointment, do not join the line of cars; carefully drive past and proceed to the parking spots marked A or B.

The Prince William Way walk-in clinic is also offering testing at 829 Big Bay Point Road.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

The assessment centre is located at the Kiwanis Building, 170 Colborne Street West.  The clinic can be accessed from the Volunteer Drive entrance.
It operates weekdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends.

The assessment centre is located in a tent in the parking lot of the Erie Street Medical Centre at 186 Erie Street.
The clinic will operate Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The by-appointment-only clinic is located adjacent to the Chigamik Community Health Centre at 845 Unit 3 King Street in the Cedar Room.
The centre is open Monday and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To book an appointment, go online, call the centre booking desk at 705-529-1025, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or call Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000.

The assessment centres are not open for walk-ins, appointment only.
To book an appointment, patients must call 1-888-383-7009, but only after being advised to be seen at the centre. Phones are answered Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinics are located in Building B at 100 Frank Miller Drive in Huntsville and the Rotary Centre for Youth at 131 Wellington Street in Bracebridge.

The Stevenson Memorial Hospital's assessment centre is located in the lower parking lot.
It is open three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The assessment centre is located in a medical field tent close to the east entrance at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
The centre is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for anyone experiencing symptoms of the virus. 

Headwaters Health Care Centre opened a centre to patients with symptoms of COVID-19 seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It is a self-contained, semi-permanent, hard-sided tent located on the top parking lot at 140 Rolling Hills Drive.
Patients will drive thru and be assessed while remaining inside their vehicles.

Grey Bruce
Owen Sound - A portable assessment centre is set up outside the entrance to the emergency department at the Owen Sound Hospital.
The centre operates from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and patients must bring a mask.
Kincardine - A portable is located between Kincardine Hospital and the medical clinic.  It is open weekdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

What to know before heading to an assessment centre

  • Use the online screening tool to determine if you need to be assessed
  • If you can manage your symptoms at home, stay at home in self-isolation
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms that are unmanageable at home, go to an assessment centre to see a health professional
  • Most centres will make you wait in your vehicle
