Testimony continued on Friday at the trial of the man accused of killing Alexandra Flanagan in 2007.

Andrew Keene is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Flanagan.

On Friday, the court heard from Keene’s ex-girlfriend who said she left for the Timmins area for a week on July 7, 2007 while Keene stayed behind. July 7 was the last day Flanagan was seen alive.

Sylvia Desjardins says she returned home to her apartment the following week and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.

Desjardins also testified that she had met Keene and Flanagan in 2005. She said they were part of a group of people who socialized together.

Three months after she disappeared, partial remains of Flanagan were found in south Barrie.

The trial continues on Monday.
