An Innisfil home was destroyed Friday after a fire that started in a kitchen.
Innisfil’s Deputy Fire Chief Tom Raeburn tells CTV News it started in the kitchen after a cooking appliance was left unattended.
Damage is estimated at about $200,000.
Fire crews remained on scene Friday night and were at the house again this morning to determine the cause. The fire started just before 5 p.m. at the house on the 10th Line – not far from the Lake Simcoe shoreline.
Police closed down nearby Plum Road to help firefighters access the fire.
No injuries were reported.
