The OPP have arrested a high-risk sex offender in Huntsville after they found him on a walking trail Thursday afternoon.

Police say they found 23-year-old Steven Yearley on the trail around 3:30 p.m. and arrested him without incident.

He is under conditions not to go to any parks or trails unless with a member of his immediate family 18 years or older. Police say he was also in possession of marijuana.

Police say Steven Yearley has been convicted of a number of crimes, including sexual assault, robbery, uttering death threats, break and enter, and drug possession. Last month, he finished serving his sentence and moved to the area.

Yearley now faces breach of recognizance and possession charges and will be in court in Bracebridge on Friday.
