Kempenfest
Date:      Friday, August 2 to Monday, August 5
Location: Barrie – Along Lakeshore Drive (Tiffin Boat launch to South Shore Park)
Details:    The main attraction of Kempenfest is, of course, the arts and crafts exhibitors. This year we are back to our original size with 350+ exhibitors across the entire 2km of the event. This year there are three distinct sub-categories of the Arts and Crafts at Kempenfest. Original Arts and Crafts – mostly located in Centennial Park – these must be hand-made by the artisan who is on site curating their work. Tastes of Kempenfest is for great things for and from the kitchen – jams, preserves, fudges, chocolates and much more - these are not commercially produced products. Most of these vendors are located on the South Shore between Tiffin Launch and the Sundial. And finally, The Marketplace a section for new and innovative products not sold at retail yet, distributors of art and craft (not made by them) and other Canadian Products – mostly located on the South Shore between the main stage and the Sundial.

Mosaic World Music
Date:      Saturday, August 3 to Monday, August 5
Location: Blue Mountains - Blue Mountain Village - 108 Jozo Weider Blvd
Details:    Happening on the Coco-cola stage - A weekend of music and dance inspired by world cultures, including live music by JOHANNES LINSTEAD, interactive drumming, scavenger hunts, free family activities, and fireworks!

Midnight Madness Downtown Bracebridge
Date:      Friday, August 2 from 6pm to midnight
Location: Bracebridge – Manitoba Street
Details:    Don’t miss this night full of fun and excitement and bargains galore! Live music, great shopping and family fun at Memorial Park.  A Kids Zone and Musical Entertainment by Blue Rodeo tribute band Blue Radio.

Session Muskoka - Craft Beer Festival
Date:      Saturday, August 3 from 1pm – 8pm
Location: Bracebridge – Annie Williams Park - 50 Santa's Village Rd
Details:    Try over 100 different beers and enjoy amazing foods beer education and live entertainment in Muskoka! Another year with Griffin MAIN stage music featuring music by The Double Cuts, Raoul & The Big Time, Matt Allen & The Swinging Black Jacks. This is a 19+ event and pets are NOT allowed. Ticket includes entrance, a sampling glass and 5 beer tokens.

Muskokacon Comic & Toy Convention
Date:      Saturday, August 3 from 10am – 6pm
Location: Bracebridge – Bracebridge Memorial Arena – 169 James St
Details:    Join us at MuskokaCon. It’s a collector’s mecca convention located in beautiful Town of Bracebridge, Ontario in Muskoka. The MuskokaCon strives to be Ontario’s best and truest comic con featuring fandoms of multiple genres. As long-time fans of comic books, toys, pop-culture, wrestling, gaming, cosplay, animation,     sci-fi and fantasy, the promoter wanted to bring that style event to Muskoka.
The show will have exhibitors that cater to a wide-spectrum of interests including comic books, live wrestling, magazines, toys, gaming, video games, movies, records, wrestling, television, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches and apparel plus much more. In addition, a roster of comic industry professionals and fandom-related celebrities are in attendance for attendees to meet and greet. This will be one show not to miss!

54th Annual Georgian Bay Steam Show
Date:      Friday, August 2 to Monday, August 5
Location: Cookstown - Georgian Bay Steam Club's Property - 4635 Victoria Street West
Details:    Presented by the Georgian Bay Steam & Antique Association. There's so much to see and do at this festival, including: Pancake Breakfast, Vehicle & Machinery Parade - Fri, Sat & Sun at 4:00pm, Children's Pedal Tractor Pull, Mud Bogg, Slow Tractor Races & Belting Up with Tractors (Sun & Mon), Corn Roast, Agricultural Demonstrations, Vendors & Flea Market, Sawmill, Craft Tent, Stage Entertainment, Children's Activities, Wagon Rides, Food Vendors, Talent Contest, Souvenir Booth, and more. See the Steam Engine Spark Show Sat & Sun at 9:30pm.

Orillia Funfest
Date:      Friday, August 2 to Monday, August 5
Location: Orillia - Couchiching Beach Park - 140 Canice St
Details:    Orillia’s premier summer family event! Midway rides, games of chance, live music, beer pavilion, vendors and more! Hosted annually by the Orillia Lions and Rotary Clubs.
Our great musical line up for the weekend is as follows:

  • Friday 7 - 9 - ‘Open Mic Night with Orillia Youth Centre’ at the Aqua theatre (Note: if it rains, location will be pavilion). Anyone is welcome to perform.
  • Saturday 6 - 10 - ‘Even Steven’ in the Pavilion - Beer Garden will be open
  • Sunday 6 - 10 - ‘Charlotte & the Dirty Cowboys’ - Beer Garden will be open

The Beer garden will be on Aug 4 & 5 and will feature live music and we will be serving a variety of ‘adult beverages’ on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings.

157th Annual Emancipation Festival
Date:      Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4
Location: Owen Sound - Harrison Park & Grey Roots Museum & Archives
Details:    Join us in celebrating the journey of our ancestors within the Underground Railroad's most northerly safe haven.  Bring your family and friends for a weekend of music, art, storyboards, crafts, children's games, congregating every August long weekend since 1862 in Owen Sound, “the most northerly retreat of the Underground Railroad journey in Canada”.  Descendants of Blacks, who came via the Underground Railroad to settle in freedom, gather to reminisce and enjoy a time of fellowship.

Arrrrr…..Pirates of the Bay
Date:      Saturday, August 3 from 10am to 5pm (last admission is 4:30pm)
Location: Penetanguishene – Discovery Harbour - 93 Jury Drive
Details:    Join us for this swashbucklin’ event! Be sure to know your pirate name and beware landlubbers as Discovery Harbour will be transformed into the Pirates Lair!! Walk the plank and join the pirate crew for great family fun!  Roving hornswaggler musicians, sink a ship with Cap't Tuna, visit the tattoo parlor, learn yer knots and swab the deck!  Be on the lookout for the Navy and Pirate Skirmish, pirate crafts, pirate inflatables', petting zoo and so much more! Be sure to git here!!  Shuttles available at Penetanguishene Town Dock (Main Street).  RUNNING ALL DAY. This will be for King's Wharf Theatre goers as well. Catch the shuttle!

Wasaga Beach Ribfest
Date:      Friday, August 2 to Monday, August 5
Location: Wasaga Beach - Beach Area 1 & 3rd Street Lot - 125 - 145 Beach Drive
Details:    2nd Annual! Joining the 2019 Ontario Festival Group Ribfest Tour is Wasaga Beach Ribfest and will take place on August 2-5, 2019 held at Beach Area 1 & 3rd Street Lot. Produced by Ontario Festival Group we are bringing 4 of North America's Best Rib Teams coming from Florida, Alabama, BC and Ontario. These "Pitmasters" are ready to serve you and your friends Award-Winning Mouth-Watering BBQ Smoked Ribs. There will be a variety of festival foods like corn dogs, roasted corn, poutines, mini-donuts and of course to wash it all down nice cold beer. There will be plenty of activities including Free Face painting, Marketplace, Artisans, and more... Watch Live Music all weekend long including Featuring Tributes to Jason Aldean, Bob     Marley, Bon Jovi and ACDC plus a variety of cover & local bands.
