Ah, the smell of crayons in the morning.

Whether you use oils, watercolours, pencils or crayons, drawing a holiday card for Springwater could offer artistic recognition and prizes.

Residents and students in Springwater are invited to submit their original artwork for a chance to be featured on the township's official holiday card.

The contest is open to all residents of Springwater and students attending schools within the Township. Participants have two age categories: 0-10 years old and 11-18 years old.

This year's contest theme is 'Winter in Springwater,' and submissions should be suitable for use on a holiday card. Various mediums are acceptable, and participants can submit their artwork on the reverse of the submission form or an 8.5x11 paper.

The winning entries will be selected by Springwater council and will appear on the Township's holiday card for 2024, along with the artist's name. Additionally, the original artwork will be displayed at the township administration centre. Winners will also receive a special Springwater prize pack.

The deadline for submission is October 18. Artwork must be submitted to the township administration centre at 2231 Nursery Road, including a completed and signed submission form. The package should be clearly marked Township Holiday Card Entry.
