BARRIE, ONT. -- Nearly all businesses across the region will be allowed to reopen on Friday, including those hardest hit by the public health closures, like gyms and hair salons.

Darlene Price's spa, Skinsational, specializes in facial treatments and after months of waiting, she's thrilled her business can offer them again.

"We've got six pages of people on a waiting list that want to get in," Price said.

During Stage 3, more services will be offered at the spa, but there will be modifications, like plexiglass shields for protection.

New HotBod Fitness owner Christy Toms has been hoping to reopen for months.

"It seems like we've been waiting so long for this day that is was really, just happy, emotional - I had a little tear," she admitted.

Operations will be different at the gym. There won't be any sharing of equipment during classes, and everyone will have their own bike and work out with weights in their marked spot on the floor.

Still, Toms doesn't mind the modifications. She's just happy to be back.

"We're definitely going to be working at a third of our normal limit that we had in here. But honestly, I'm just so happy to be open. I don't want to cry, but it's been a very stressful four months. So I'm really looking forward to opening," she said with tears in her eyes.

HotBod Fitness will reopen on Monday.
