The military now says the grenade-like item found in an Owen Sound hotel on Friday afternoon was not an explosive item.
Explosive experts from CFB Borden were called to remove the item that was found by a hotel worker inside the Days Inn.
They say that while the item looked like a grenade, it turned out to be a non-explosive replica.
Still the explosive experts say it is always better to call them in when a suspect item like this is found.
