Beatty said she purchases tickets to support local hospitals often, never really expecting to win. “I know that it’s going to a good cause, so even if you don’t win, it’s a good cause.”
The newest 50/50 winner said her windfall came at a good time for her family. “We have a daughter in university right now, so I couldn’t be more pleased.”
Beatty’s win marks the second-highest single-month grand prize.
The next 50/50 is already underway, with the grand prize draw set for November 27.
The RVH Auxiliary 50/50 draw helps support patient care closer to home.
Tickets are sold in bundles:
- Three for $10
- 50 for $25
- 300 for $50
- 1,000 for $90
There are two early bird draws on November 14 and 21 worth $10,000.
“You can’t win if you don’t buy a ticket, and if you don’t win, you’ve helped a good cause,” Beatty noted.
