Someone from the Barrie area is a new millionaire.

OLG says there are four winning tickets for last night's $50 million Lotto Max grand prize -- each of them worth 12-and-a-half million dollars.

One winning ticket was sold in Toronto, two in the Prairies, and one in British Columbia.

There were also 50 Maxmillions prizes of a million dollars each up for grabs -- and 22 of them were claimed by a total of 27 winning tickets.

One of those winning tickets was sold in Atlantic Canada, another in Quebec, 13 in Ontario, including one from the Barrie area. A Maxmillions ticket worth $500,000 was also sold in the Barrie area.

The jackpot for next Friday's Lotto Max will be approximately $38 million.
