York Regional Police have made multiple arrests in connection to a string of break-ins throughout York Region, Peel Region and parts of Simcoe County.

At a news conference on Tuesday, police revealed that four men allegedly broke into 38 residences since April. YRP says the accused were part of the group, "Get Money Committee".

According to investigators, the group of men would travel around a neighbourhood ringing doorbells and knocking on doors to determine whether someone was home. If no one answered, police say they would kick in the front door and raid the bedrooms for jewellery and other valuables.

It was later determined that the suspects were allegedly taking these stolen items and selling them for cash.

Following a lengthy investigation, police executed a number of search warrants, arresting the four men and recovering a significant amount of stolen property.

The accused now face a variety of charges including break and enter, possession of property obtained by a crime and trafficking property.

Investigators are now looking for the owners of the stolen property. York Regional Police have launched a social media account with picture of the property.

Anyone who believes they were a victim of the break-ins is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
