One person was sent to hospital on Monday night, following a fire in Fesserton.

Fire officials say the blaze started, at around 8:30 p.m. at a building on County Road 16, near F.R. Nelson Road. There are reports the building was an old school house.

When Severn Township firefighters arrived, the building was engulfed in flames. Mutual aid was called in from the Tay Township Fire Service.

One person was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Damage to the building has been pegged at $150,000.

The cause has been deemed accidental.
