Federal offender arrested after breaching release in July

A federal offender wanted for breaching his statutory release in July has been apprehended.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad notified the public Benjamin Buda, who went unlawfully at large on July 10, was known to frequent the Barrie area.

Buda is serving a more than two year sentence for weapons-related offences.

The squad said on Friday the offender had been taken into custody after being located in Ottawa.
