Freestyle Canada’s Junior Nationals
Date: March 14th to 18th
Location: Coldwater - Mount St. Louis Moonstone - 24 Mount St. Louis Road
Details: Come out and cheer on these great athletes! The Canada Cup Series presented by Toyo Tires is Freestyle Canada’s national competition circuit. It was created to support a competitive and sustainable domestic tour where freestyle athletes from across Canada can develop their competitive skills in all of our disciplines; Moguls, Aerials Slopestyle and Halfpipe.
3rd Annual Kids Ice Fishing Derby & Fun Day
Date: Saturday, March 17th – 11am to 2pm

Springtime Celebration Hike

Details: Springtime Celebration! Meet at 10am for a leisurely walk to our vernal pools, where we'll look for signs of spring at MacGregor Point!
Egg-Tastic Easter EGG HUNT
Date: Sunday, March 18th – 10am to 6pm
Location: Tottenham - Dinoland Family Fun Centre - 55 Industrial Road, Unit 10
Details: Bring your Easter basket and hunt for eggs at the first Annual Egg-Tastic Egg Hunt. A professional photographer will be in site. Play in the playground and see amazing local vendors. For children ten and under.
Washago Carving Event
Date: March 16th to 18th
Location: Washago - Centennial Park - 3376 Quetton St
Details: This event will feature a minimum of 15 amazingly talented carvers, all with individual styles, broadcasting their skills and carving up different pieces to auction off. Auction happens Sunday between 1pm and 3pm. There will be multiple food and beverage vendors on site, we will have a live edge slab distributor on site as well. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase other pieces brought by the carvers for sale during the event.
All proceeds raised during this event are going towards a Mobi – Mat for Centennial Park which will allow simple access to the beaches for the elderly, for those parents with strollers and easy wheelchair access across the beach and even into the water providing a completely different beach experience for those with mobility issues.
Tap into Maple

Filled with a variety of different stops throughout the region, the Tap into Maple route will get your senses flowing and your mouth watering. Come and experience maple history, taste local maple cuisine, and create your own maple products. You can even stay awhile, local accommodators have some sweet maple packages available for you! Bring your family or getaway as a couple, Ontario's Lake Country & Heart of Georgian Bay has something for everyone. Make sure to pick-up your Tap into Maple passport at participating locations - 22 in all! Come and experience all things MAPLE on the sweetest route in Ontario's Lake Country and Heart of Georgian Bay!
Sweetwater Harvest Maple Syrup Festival
Date: March 17th & 18th

Details: Celebrate a uniquely Canadian tradition in a distinctively Canadian landscape. Escape to a time when maple syrup was made over an open fire, experience our history and explore nature at its best. The festival celebrates the history of maple syrup, and the role it plays in our cultural and natural heritage. Yes there are sugar shack tours, pancakes and taffy tasting, but there is so much more to the weekend long festival. There are birds of prey and reptile/amphibian talks; kid’s games and activities, cooking and woodcarving demos; and of course chickadee feeding.

Location: Oro-Medonte – Shaw’s Maple Syrup Farm
Details: Enjoy walking trails and wagon rides. The warm Pancake House serves up tasty treats to fuel a walk through the bush with 4000 trees all connected with tubing to collect around 160 000 liters of watery maple sap each season. On weekends we have horse-drawn wagon rides through our trails which recreated the way we collected our sap until the late 1960s. If the weather’s been “just right” you will be able to watch and smell the sweet sap boil away through the evaporator.
March Break Adventures at Scenic Caves Nordic Centre

Details: Celebrate the final days of winter with outdoor adventures: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, Southern Ontario’s longest Suspension Bridge, Guided Night Snowshoe Hikes, Scavenger Hunt + path of wooden sculptures, Children’s Adventure Playground, Warm-up Cabin, roast spider dogs + s’mores at the outdoor fire pit and more. N.B: Weather permitting. If the trails are not available for cross-country skiing/snowshoeing, guests can hike trails to the bridge with boots/cleats.

Arrowhead Ice Trail Fire & Ice Nights (Weather Permitting)
Date: Select nights until Saturday, March 17, 2018
Location: Huntsville Area – Arrowhead Provincial Park - 451 Arrowhead Park Rd
Details: Arrowhead Ice Trail Fire & Ice Night runs throughout the season on specific days
(Weather permitting – always phone ahead to ensure the ice trail is open and operating before heading out). On these days, the Ice Trail is available during the day from 11am-3pm, closed from maintenance and flooding from 3pm-6pm, and then re-opened for the Fire & Ice skating between 6pm-9pm. During the Fire & Ice night, the trail will be lit with tiki torches to light your way as you skate through the forested trail at night!
