Barrielicious Festival

Details:     Get ready for another year of gourmet gastronomy with Barrielicious 2018. Once again this year, there is a great variety of restaurants participating, each with its own unique, delicious fixed-menu options. 10th Annual Hockey Day in Bradford West Gwillimbury
Date:      Saturday, January 20th from 8am to 12:30pm
Location:     Bond Head - Bud Brown Park - 2892 Simcoe Cty Rd 27
Details:     The tenth annual Hockey Day in BWG will take place in Bond Head at Bud Brown Park (weather permitting). Ip and Novice teams from the BWG Minor Hockey Association compete against each other in a day of outdoor on-ice fun. Participants will receive a medal from the Mayor and Members of Council during the medal ceremony. A variety of entertainment will take place inside the Bond Head Community Centre, along with a pancake breakfast and barbecue lunch hosted by the Bond Head Lions Club.

23rd Annual Winterfest
Date:      Saturday, January 20th & Sunday January 21st
Location:     Burk’s Falls – Various locations
Details:     Winterfest kicks off on Saturday with family bowling at 6:30pm and a Family Dance at 9pm. Sunday's activities include: skating, live music, face painting, outdoor games, horse drawn wagon rides, bed races, a puck toss and more.

World Snow Day at Scenic Caves
Date:      Sunday January 21st from 9am to 5pm
Location:     The Blue Mountains - Scenic Caves Nature Adventures - 260 Scenic Caves Road
Details:     Sunday January 21, 2018 is World Snow Day. Scenic Caves Nordic Centre is participating in helping to make this the “biggest day on snow, all year” with a special offer: Free Youth day trail pass and equipment rental with purchase of one adult day trail pass. It’s an international annual snow festival promoting the recreational activities snow offers to all ages. Open 9am – 5pm (last ticket sold at 3:30pm).  Equipment rentals: first-come, first-served. Reservations are not required. A coupon must be presented to receive the discount (available to download from the website; mobile screen coupons not accepted). 

Arts and Craft Beer and Cider Festival

Details:     The second Annual Arts & Craft Beer and Cider Festival is happening again. 
Craft breweries are producing some amazing quality beers in the South Georgian Bay area. This fundraising event will give you an opportunity to sample local brews and speak to the people that are making Craft Beers in our community. Proceeds from the festival will go towards helping with hall renovations.

Celebrate Winter

Details:     Celebrate the magic of winter with everything Blue has to offer on snow and ice!
When night falls the Village glows with groove dancing, torch light parade, and fireworks over the mountain. Activities to enjoy: Mountain with skiing/boarding, Woodview Mountaintop Skating, Hike N' Tube, Guided snowshoe tours, family activities, horse and wagon rides, taffy on the snow, BeaverTail eating contest, and a roaming Snow Flake Princess.

Freestyle Ontario's Timber Tour

Location:     Huntsville – Hidden Valley Highlands - 1655 Hidden Valley Rd
Details:     This is the fourth year in a row that the Muskoka Ski Club at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area has hosted the Timber Tour Series. The Timber Tour is Ontario's provincial competition series, that includes three disciplines: Moguls, Slopestyle and Halfpipe. Athletes travel across Ontario to compete in a meaningful, athlete-centred, community supported, fair, safe and fun competition circuit.

3rd Annual Brewzapalooza Beer and Music Festival
Date:      Friday, January 19th to Saturday, January 20th
Location:     Downtown Orangeville in the parking lot at 87-90 Broadway
Details:     Brews and Entertainment is happy to announce its line-up for Brewzapalooza 2018.The annual festival takes place at the back parking lot at 87-90 Broadway in Orangeville. Through partnerships with the Town of Orangeville, the Orangeville BIA and a collection of local sponsors and supporters, the festival will add some exciting Southern Ontario bands to compliment the thriving beer festival. Ticket prices include taxes, surcharges and a souvenir mug. The ticketed portion of the festival will be 19+, with wristbands showing proof of age. This year, along with more space, will include a 30 x 200 ft beer tent, keeping the 20 brewery reps (and more importantly, their beer) from freezing. And although we aren’t allowed to bring you the magical burn barrels or fire, we are coming with a full arsenal of propane patio heaters to keep festival goers from completely freezing!New this year, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph, will include an all ages session on Saturday January 2.
