Environment Canada has confirmed a second tornado hit our region on Tuesday.

Officials say an EF1 tornado touched down near Laurel near Orangeville around 3:00 p.m.

This tornado goes with the EF1 tornado already confirmed in Tottenham.

Environment Canada's Peter Kimbell tells CP24 the tornado in Laurel occurred prior to the one that was recorded in Tottenham late Tuesday afternoon.

"It's two separate tornadoes but it's associated with the same line of thunder storms," said Kimbell.

There have been 6 confirmed tornadoes in Ontario this year.
