Police say the tow truck operator was recovering a vehicle on Flos 7 East of County Road 27 around 10 a.m. on Thursday when a late-model Ford Bronco attempted to pass the tow truck, hitting the operator.
"The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. Luckily, the tow truck driver was not injured," police stated.
The Bronco is described as having oversized white rims and tires, white wheel well extensions, and a black soft top.
It's unclear whether the driver was aware the tow truck operator had been struck.
Police ask anyone with information, including surveillance or dash cam footage, to contact the Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122 as the investigation continues.
