Driver clocked at more than double the speed limit in Springwater

A driver was charged after being clocked at 107 kilometres per hour in a 50-kilometre-per-hour zone in Springwater Township on Saturday.

Huronia West OPP charged the driver with stunt driving, suspending their licence for 30 days and impounding their vehicle for 14 days.

Also on Saturday, a Bracebridge OPP officer issued 25 tickets within one hour while patrolling the northbound direction of Highway 11. Charges included one for stunt driving and five for failing to move over.
