Caledon OPP charged a driver after they allegedly slid their vehicle onto someone’s front lawn earlier this week.

Officers responded to the incident on Caledon Street shortly after 5 p.m. this past Wednesday. Police say the responding officers formed grounds through their investigation that the driver’s ability to operate a vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested.

Police confirm there were no injuries sustained in the incident.

A 50-year-old from Alton was charged with operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80 plus).

The accused is scheduled for a court date later in December. Their licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
