Driver busted with alcohol in truck at R.I.D.E. stop

An East Garafraxa man was nabbed with liquor in his truck during a R.I.D.E. check.

Provincial police pulled over a Jeep shortly after 11 p.m., Wednesday.

The driver entered the R.I.D.E. stop near Centennial Road in Orangeville with half-a-dozen beer cans and a full (closed) bottle of wine.

The 38-year-old man was charged with operation while impaired with blood/alcohol over 80 mgs.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville to answer to the charges. His driver's licence was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
