Driver arrested after crashing into electric pole

Police arrested the driver of a vehicle that crashed into an electric pole in Alliston early Saturday morning.
OPP Central region posted a photo of a gray hatchback and a knocked-over electric pole on X. The collision occurred on Victoria Street East and Boyne Street, and the intersection was closed as emergency crews tended to the scene. The driver was arrested for impaired driving.
In an additional update, police say the intersection will remain closed until further notice.
