The number of people breaking into the old Muskoka Regional Centre is continuing to grow and police have had enough.

The centre, which has been abandoned for almost for 25 years, has become a popular spot for people looking to strip metal and encounter a paranormal experience.

But the OPP say there is no reason anyone should be on the property. The grounds itself is in poor condition and police warn that exposure to the contents of these buildings can be dangerous.

The location has been posted on several website encouraging people to check it out as part of urban exploration. Videos even show people wandering the abandoned halls of the sanitorium.

So far this year, police have dealt with at least 50 people who were found trespassing on the grounds. They say it's only getting worse now that summer is here.

Provincial police say anyone caught on the property will likely be charged with criminal mischief and trespassing.
