Death in Caledon under investigation

OPP are investigating a Saturday evening incident in Caledon that resulted in one death.

Caledon OPP officers were called to a residence on Deer Ridge Trail around 10 p.m. Police say one person was located injured and later pronounced deceased in hospital.

Investigators are looking into the circumstances of the death and believe that there is no imminent threat to public safety. Police say they are unable to release any further details as of Sunday morning.

Residents are asked to avoid the area of Deer Ridge Trail and Lowes Hill Circle as the investigation continues. Caledon OPP are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation.
