Country music fans and campers started arriving at Burl’s Creek Wednesday for the Boots and Hearts music festival.

Crews were also busy Wednesday putting the final touches on the event grounds in Oro-Medonte.

Three stages are being built for more than 30 performers. Headliners include Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and  Dierks Bentley.

Fans will also have an opportunity to have a meet and greet with some of their favourite country music artists.

“Fans can expect some great surprise pop up artists performance throughout the weekend and they can meet some great artists,” said Laura Kennedy with Republic Live.

Based on ticket sales, organizers are expecting 40, 000 people to attend this year’s festival.

The Boots and Hearts music festival runs from Thursday through to Sunday.
