The Barrie Colts have acquired Brad Gardiner from the Ottawa 67's in exchange for four draft picks.

The 19-year-old forward from Aurora was selected in the third round, 79th overall, by the Dallas Stars in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the last three seasons with the 67's, totalling 38 goals and 95 points in 188 OHL games.

The Colts sent their 2028 second-round pick along with Kitchener's 2025 fourth-round and 2027 third-round picks and Saginaw's 2026 second-round pick in return to the 67's.

"Gardiner is someone we watched often in U16 playing for the York Simcoe Express. He's proven himself to be a reliable two-way centreman in our league," said the Colts in a media release. "We're excited about adding Brad's skillset, leadership, and experience to our group."

The Colts begin their training camp on Tuesday at Sadlon Arena.
