BARRIE, ONT. -- Traffic came to a crashing halt along Highway 400 through Barrie Thursday evening.

Police attended the scene of a collision with a rollover near the Anne Street overpass.

The southbound lanes of the 400 were closed just past the bridge at Bayfield Street for the crash.

According to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, people were trapped in their vehicles.

Paramedics told CTV News there were no serious injuries.

Police also attended a separate incident in the northbound lanes that forced that section to be closed as well.

It's not clear if the two incidents are connected.

A few hours later, all lanes of the highway reopened.
