A molten lava-like burn and dense smoke could be seen for miles.

An early morning landfill fire kicked off Collingwood firefighter’s Monday.

Deputy Fire Chief Stephen Emo said there were no structures involved and no injuries to report at the Simcoe Waste Management Site on the 10th Line five minutes out of town.
