Share

A home in Coldwater was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning.

Crews arrived to find flames shooting from the house on Highway 12, west of Warminster.

Officials say the lone occupant managed to escape the home after being woken up by a passerby who reported the fire.

No one was injured.

Police closed a section of Highway 12 in both directions between Medonte Sideroad 2 and Dunns Line for emergency crews to work. The area is expected to remain closed for several hours.

Officials say it’s believed the fire started in the garage.
