City of Barrie will offer variety of Canada Day celebrations
The City of Barrie is preparing to celebrate Canada Day in several different ways.
Residents are invited to gather in Barrie's downtown core to enjoy food and music at Meridian Place.
There will be vendors of all kinds and performances of every variety.
The family-friendly atmosphere includes games, wrestling demonstrations, wildlife educational opportunities and interactive events, including belly dancing.
The Canada Day celebrations will wrap up after the tentatively scheduled fireworks display at 10 pm.
