Canadian country music star Tim Hicks is returning to Wasaga Beach.

The multi-platinum and JUNO award-nominated artist is scheduled to perform at the Town’s Wasaga Stars Arena on February 7.

“This is a town with a long history of appreciating live music. This is going to be an amazing show in our amazing new venue,” stated Mayor Brian Smith.

Hicks has had 18 top 10 hits on the Canadian Country chart, including No Truck Song, What A Song Should Do, and Stompin' Ground.

The show will also feature a performance by Canadian country music group River Town Saints.

Earlier this year, Canadian music icons Burton Cummings and Blue Rodeo marked the opening of the Town’s new state-of-the-art arena on River Road West at its first winter music festival.

“Wasaga Beach has a rich history of hosting spectacular performances by some of Canada’s, and Ontario’s, greatest musical talent,” the mayor added. “We look forward to continuing this tradition of celebrating home-grown talent by welcoming Tim Hicks back to Wasaga Beach. This holiday season, give the gift that will keep on giving, get tickets now before they’re all gone.”

Tickets to the event are on sale now. Doors open at 6 p.m. The event is open to all ages.
