Basement fire in Barrie extinguished
Barrie firefighters responded to a call about smoke in the Little Ave. and Hurst Drive area Tuesday morning. Nov. 21, 2022 (CTV NEWS)
Barrie fire crews responded to a caller who smelled smoke around Little Ave. and Hurst Drive early Tuesday morning.
After thoroughly searching the area, crews located a house with a basement fire at around 5 a.m.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire, which is now fully extinguished.
No one was home at the time.
The scene is still under investigation.
