A Barrie woman was fatally wounded by a shotgun in her Kozlov Street apartment building, an autopsy report shows.

Barrie police say a coroner’s report released on Thursday reveals Dana Camber, 50, was shot in the abdomen with a shotgun.

She was found unresponsive by officers early Tuesday morning, she was later pronounced dead at hospital.

Police are still searching for the suspect involved in this homicide. They say they are investigating several "persons of interest". They wouldn't provide details on who those people are, but officials have said that Camber and the suspect knew each other.

Officers have spent that last two days collecting evidence and speak with witnesses at the apartment building. Barrie police have since wrapped up their investigation at the building.

This is Barrie’s third homicide of the year. Nick and James Pasowisty were killed in their William Street home on Feb. 8. Dyrrin Daley has been charged in that case, which remains before the courts.
