Barrie Police have charged a 94-year-old man after a city worker was struck by an SUV in February.

It happened on Feb. 10 at the intersection of Mulcaster Street and Penetang Street in downtown Barrie.

Police say the city employee, 65, was working as a flagman and was standing in the middle of the intersection holding a construction sign when he was struck by an SUV driven by the senior.

The94-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

He will face the charge in a Barrie court in April.
