Barrie mother turns concerns over baby food into thriving business
A Barrie mother has turned her concerns about many baby foods' sugar and sodium content into a thriving business.
Jennifer Giorgianni, who holds a degree in health sciences, has developed a line of nutritious mixes for babies and families.
Named after her first child, Riley's Kitchen offers fritter, pancake, and muffin mixes to provide healthier alternatives to standard store-bought options.

Giorgianni said the idea for Riley's Kitchen started as a small weekend venture but has quickly grown as more families discover the convenience and nutritional benefits of her products.
"It is the best quality food out there. It is so nutritionally dense, and all of our products contain iron, which is the most important nutrient when you're feeding a baby," said Giorgianni. "This is something that is designed to simplify that part of your life, that you can feel good about feeding your child."
Riley's Kitchen mixes can be purchased online and are available in select grocery stores, including Sobeys.
