Barrie man found guilty of fatal stabbing at Banff bar
A jury has found a Barrie man guilty of second-degree murder for the stabbing death of a man at a Banff bar two years ago.
John-Christopher Arrizza was tried in a Calgary courtroom for the death of Ethan Enns-Goneau, 26, on August 5, 2022.
On Friday, the jury reached a unanimous verdict following a seven-day trial.

The court heard Arrizza stabbed Enns-Goneau 11 times at the Dancing Sasquatch bar.
The defence appealed to the jury to convict Arrizza of the lesser manslaughter charge, arguing he was intoxicated at the time of the attack.
The fatal stabbing was the town's first homicide since 1990.
A second-degree murder conviction carries a life sentence, or 25 years in prison, with a minimum of 10 years served before the chance of parole.
The sentencing hearing will happen at a later date.
