Barrie man couldn't believe his luck after winning big with Lotto Max

A Barrie man is celebrating his first big win with Lotto Max, even if it took him a minute to realize his good fortune.
Michael Steele has played Lotto Max since its debut in 2009 and learned he had won via email.
“I leaped out of bed to read the email for myself. I thought it said I had won $111.50, but I missed a few zeros,” he said.
Actually, the retired Barrie man missed a lot of zeros. He won $111,509.50 with the ticket he purchased on OLG.ca for the November 8 draw.

“I was certainly surprised and happy to learn about my win,” he said. “It was definitely worth the effort of buying a ticket. You just never know what will happen.”
Steele plans to pay some bills, help family, and take a trip with his winnings.
The next Lotto Max draw is Friday with an estimated $33 million up for grabs.
