A Barrie man has been charged, following a stabbing at a party in the city’s south end.
Barrie police were called to Bishop Drive early Sunday morning after a 26-year-old was stabbed in the leg.
According to investigators, both the suspect and the victim were at a party, when the two got into an argument. That’s when police say the stabbing happened.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene after the stabbing, but was located a short time later.
The 26-year-old accused is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
He is scheduled to appear before a court this week.
