Art exhibit explores artist's personal journey through animals

Share

A new art exhibit at the Dufferin County Museum offers visitors a unique glimpse into a local artist's life experiences.

The exhibit, called Animalis, is portrayed through animals and explores Stephanie Casino Esguerra's personal journey, including motherhood, a career change, and a shift in perspective.

"There are so many parts of me that have grown since I became a mother," she explained. "I started to learn more about myself, instincts and my intuition, and I learned how resilient I am as a human being."

The exhibit's name, Animalis, is Latin for animal, with the first part of the word anima, meaning soul.

Animalis will run at the Dufferin County Museum through the New Year, and its creator is offering workshops at the museum, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage with her creative process.
