Non-life threatening injuries are reported in a crash involving an ambulance in Beeton.

According to the OPP, the ambulance was travelling north along County Road 10 with a patient onboard at around 8 a.m., when a car tried to pass a school bus that had stopped for the emergency vehicle.

That’s when police say the car collided head-on with the ambulance.

Two paramedics, a patient and the driver of the car were taken to hospital for observation, but have since been released. Charges are now pending.

The road was closed for several hours between County Road 10 and the 9th Line, but crews are working to reopen it.
